The combination of the innuPREP FFPE DNA Kit - FX and the CyBio FeliX provides a platform for simple, safe, automated DNA extraction from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples.
Due to a novel chemistry, the otherwise common and time-consuming process for deparaffinization is completely eliminated. This means that genomic DNA can be isolated without the use of toxic solvents such as xylene or octane. In addition, proteinase K digestion is used to degrade proteins in the cell lysates and release the nucleic acids. Based on the patented technology and the principle of magnetic particle separation, DNA purification then follows using InnuPure C16 touch. Prefilled and seethed Reagent Strips or Plates greatly reduce the risk of cross-contamination between samples. The highly pure DNA obtained in this way is directly available for subsequent applications (e.g. qPCR).
To reduce the manual preparation steps for this kit to a minimum, the innuPREP Prefilling Set (OL3317-25-127 available via Analytik Jena GmbH) is also available for automated prefilling of deep well plates with the appropriate buffers and reagents by CyBio FeliX.
