Using the innuPREP Plant DNA Kit-IPC16 allows users to isolate highly pure genomic DNA from a variety of plant materials. Following efficient homogenization using a SpeedMill, other homogenizer, or a mortar and liquid nitrogen, the plant material is lysed, and proteins and polysaccharides are effectively removed in a single precipitation step. Once it has been filtered, the lysate is transferred to pre-filled Reagent Strips and/or Plates. Nucleic acid extraction proceeds automatically on the InnuPure C16 touch using a magnetic particle separation process. The PME free-circulating DNA Kit - IPC16 is based on new technology, called: PME – Polymer Mediated Enrichment. The procedure doesn’t start with sample lysis, like common used methods or kits. The first step is capturing of free-circulating DNA with a special polymer. Subsequently the captured free-circulating DNA is dissolved in a special buffer and then the DNA is extracted automatically by using the InnuPure® C16 / C16 touch.
The extraction process is based on binding of the free-circulating DNA on surface modified magnetic particles. After washing steps the nucleic acid is eluted from the magnetic particles with low RNase-free water and is now ready to use.

The kit is suitable for a broad spectrum of starting material ranging from cell culture supernatant, cell-free body fluids and whole blood as well as fecal samples, swabs and other relevant material. The kit is based on a patented extraction chemistry and provides best yields of pure nucleic acids accompanied by an accelerated procedure.
Pre-filled reagent strips or plates reduce required manual steps and thereby minimize the risk of errors. After binding to surface-modified magnetic particles and multiple wash steps, nucleic acids are eluted with RNase-free water. The resulting DNA/RNA can directly be used in subsequent downstream applications such as qPCR. To verify the extraction process the kit contains a Carrier Mix composed of Carrier RNA, Internal Control DNA (IC DNA) and RNA (IC RNA).
As an alternative to the standard, pre-filled, sealed extraction kits for InnuPure C16 touch, corresponding lower-cost non-filled kit variants are also available. These kits also contain all the plastics and reagents required for extraction.

The smart Blood DNA Midi prep (a)/ smart Blood DNA Midi prep (a96) is based on the unique SmartExtraction technology and allows an easy automation of DNA extraction from up to 3 ml of whole blood. Initially erythrocytes are lysed and PBMCs are collected for further preparation. Pre-filled, sealed Reagent Plastic simplifies handling enormously and can be applied on InnuPure systems directly. Additional tools are not necessary. Possible shearing effects on DNA are reduced to an absolute minimum due to the special SmartExtraction pipette tips, which contain modified surfaces for efficient binding of nucleic acids. Finally high DNA yields (up to 90 μg from 3 ml whole blood) with high molecular weight (up to 500 kbp) can be isolated. An excellent quality ensures the direct application in further downstream analyses.
